The Grounds & Gardens

The grounds at Heggatt Hall are made for long, easy days outdoors. Guests can wander through beautifully landscaped gardens, unwind beside the outdoor swimming pool, or make the most of the open space for family games and relaxed afternoons in the countryside. With tennis courts and a traditional stable adding to the estate’s charm, the setting feels both grand and welcoming — a private slice of Norfolk perfect for switching off, stretching out and enjoying the fresh air. Little ones will be busy discovering the five-acre gardens, walking the dog, hiding and seeking, or enjoying long countryside strolls. The outdoor heated swimming pool is perfect for family water polo or just splashing about under the Norfolk sun, while the tennis court and croquet lawn offer hours of friendly competition.

Elegant Living & Family Spaces

Step inside Heggatt Hall and experience the perfect harmony of traditional charm and modern comfort. Roaring fires, oak-panelled walls, sparkling chandeliers, and dramatic curtains mingle with familiar comforts and picture-perfect details in every room. Plush sofas invite you to curl up with a good book, while the games room offers air hockey, table tennis, pool, and darts. With smart TVs, books, and board games, there’s ample space and endless intrigue for every generation to relax, laugh, and reconnect. Indoors, the games room keeps the fun going with air hockey, table tennis, pool, and darts — ideal for family rivalry. For quieter moments, there’s a small library for bookworms and a retro Bluetooth radio to bring music wherever you go.

Culinary & Dining Delights

From leisurely breakfasts to elegant evening dinners, Heggatt Hall caters to every culinary occasion. The fully equipped farmhouse kitchen, featuring a Range Master, invites everyone to cook together, while the formal dining room provides the perfect setting for family feasts or special occasions.

Step outside to the terrace for a BBQ, or for a touch of luxury, chefs from Kate Bagnall-Oakeley or Norfolk’s Edge can cater a weekend or one-off celebration. Stock up locally at Waitrose, Tesco, and Lidl, with wines from North Norfolk Cellars, or keep it simple with Jefferies fish and chips and takeaways from The Thaiway or Ali Spice.
